We mainly offer positions for Rehab Therapists (PT, OT, SLP), Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice (NP, PA), Pharmacists, and Laboratory professionals. These positions can be local, regional, or national travel contract assignments; contract-to-hire; or permanent direct hire positions.

Contract Assignment Questions

What is the typical length of a contract assignment?
Our typical assignments are 13 weeks. Many of our employees are asked to extend their assignment and some often stay at a facility for a year or longer – it really depends on the circumstances of the facility and their staffing needs. Some assignments are contract-to-hire and give you the opportunity to see if a facility is a good fit for you before committing to permanent employment.

How many hours per week will I work at my assignment?
Tailored Healthcare Staffing contract assignments have varied hours depending on yours and the facility’s needs. Some facilities offer guaranteed hours, some want full-time employees while others want part-time employees, some offer overtime, and some are flexible for the right candidate. We fit your unique financial needs and personal situation to the job – it’s really up to you!

Where are the majority of Tailored Healthcare Staffing’s travel healthcare positions located?

What if I want to work in a city where Tailored Healthcare Staffing doesn’t have an assignment?
Let a THS Recruiter know what city you are interested in. If we do not currently have a travel nurse assignment in that city, we will try to get you into your desired location.

How can I start my career with Tailored Healthcare Staffing?
The application process varies depending on your profession, the positions you’re applying for, and the type of employment you’re seeking. When do I become a THS employee?
You become a THS employee as soon as you start your first assignment (unless we place you in a permanent position – then you’re employed by the facility where you’re working). We withhold and pay all of your employment taxes, health and dental insurance, and professional liability insurance, so you can concentrate on what matters most – your career. What happens after I complete my application?
Once you submit a completed application and your updated resume, a THS recruiter will contact you immediately to discuss your career goals and preferences. Once you decide on positions that fit your needs, your recruiter will submit your profile to those facilities to see if they’d like to interview you for the position. Your recruiter will negotiate compensation and benefits on your behalf, and once you accept an assignment, your recruiter will work hand-in-hand with you to make sure you’re completely comfortable throughout the process – before, during, and after your assignment.

Pay & Benefits Questions

What kind of pay should I expect as a THS employee?
Compensation varies based on a number of factors, including location, profession, degree of difficulty, years of experience, and setting. Your recruiter will discuss your compensation needs to make sure any positions you’re submitted to are offering pay that is in line with your expectations.

Do you have a 401(k) plan?
Yes, we have a 401(k) plan to help our associates plan for retirement. Full-time THS employees are eligible for 401(k) enrollment following 90 days of employment.

What type of medical benefits do you offer?
We offer a competitive health and dental insurance package to all full-time THS employees. If you choose to participate, benefits start on the first day of the month following assignment start date.

Do you offer license reimbursement?
If you want to travel to a state where you’re not currently licensed, THS will reimburse you for licensure costs when you start an assignment with us in that state.

Do you offer referral bonuses if I refer my friends or colleagues to you?
Yes! We offer unlimited referral bonuses. For every PT, OT, or SLP you refer who completes a THS assignment, we’ll pay you up to $1,000! For every Med Tech, PTA, or COTA you refer who completes a THS assignment, we’ll pay you $500! Call 800-927-5918 today if you know someone who may be interested.

Travel & Housing Questions

How does travel reimbursement work?
We customize each assignment to your needs. Maybe you need airfare to and from your assignment, maybe you prefer to commute every week, or maybe you’d just like mileage reimbursement. Sometimes facilities offer a specific type of travel reimbursement, and sometimes we handle it directly with you – just discuss your travel preferences with your THS recruiter, and we’ll make sure your happy on all travel fronts.

What if I coordinate my own housing near my travel assignment?
No problem! Just let your recruiter know, and we’ll discuss housing per diem rates at your assignment location to help cover your housing costs.

Am I allowed to bring pets to my assignment?
Of course – pets are like family! Talk to your recruiter about any furry friends you plan on bringing with you for your assignment, so we can help you work out pet-friendly accommodations.

What if I want to travel with a spouse or friend who also needs an assignment?
If you’re part of a dynamic traveling duo, we’ll assess the career goals of you and your travel partner and market your profiles to facilities in your target destinations to find placements that work for both of you.
